About the records

How to read these matches

State panels search the relevant name field for text that contains your search. Financial disclosures search the full structured statement text. Spelling variants and unrelated organizations can match. A name match is not identity. Verify names and original records before drawing conclusions.

Financial-disclosure matches count statements, not people. One official can appear in multiple reporting periods, and a text match does not establish a financial relationship. Older or redacted statements may not have searchable text. A disclosure is not an allegation of wrongdoing.

Each section identifies its reporting period and result limits. Campaign contributor checkboxes affect only that section’s year totals; they do not filter top recipients or other systems. Shared links preserve those choices. CSV exports include available rows, scope notes and source gaps.

Do not add these figures together. Lobbying, contributions, campaign payments and contract records cover different periods and can overlap. State contract actions can repeat the same contract through amendments. Missing dollar values and overlapping records prevent a reliable spending total, so this tool shows contract record counts.

Live sources are queried when you search. Federal panels use saved collections and display their capture dates; Refresh records reloads those files but does not gather new federal filings. No match in a saved collection does not establish that no activity exists.
