Thank you for reporting on this and providing transparency! Good for the prosecution to set the bail so high. I recognize the shortcomings in the prosecutor’s office, but this goes to show how much is out of their hands when the judge can choose to dismiss the bail recommendations.

You need to do some research . This element of society is not in any particular state . In fact , the southern states have higher rates of online pornography use, sexual abuse, rape and other crimes , and much higher use of SNAP and Medicaid paid for by those Blue states . It is ridiculous to think it is one party that has predators as look at the Epstein files ....

Absolutely . I am so disgusted by those in power who claim to care for the safety of our children and then do nothing to deal with the issues that cause it . And, having been a victim of the court' s corruption here ( nothing even close to sexual trafficking , et al) by some mentioned in this writer' s articles, I am not surprised they have continued over the years .
the point of the article is that there is a " conflict of interest" by Judge Basden presiding over this court case as the defendant is a member of the Mormon community via Dungeness LDS ward. And because Basden has a history of favoritism and corruption regarding protecting criminals and fraudsters who are in court for proceedings.

How is Basden is allowed to preside over any case especially this one, with his on going investigation?
