As a victim of Dr Singer myself, my children and I champion Melissa Strawn for her bravery in fighting the system and fighting for justice against this truly evil man. He is dismissive, open about his biases towards abusers, and makes no apologies for his horrific behavior. He has never been held accountable, and feels no sense of remorse. When I asked him specific questions of clarification during, so I could provide accurate written responses, he said to me “Don’t think so hard. You’re making this harder than it has to be. Just put something on the page.” I never met with him, and was never interviewed remotely.
Months late, Dr Singer’s report came only after numerous threats of enforcement from my legal counsel. The report was not original content, completely inaccurate, riddled with errors, and referred to me by my children’s father’s name. Dr Singer provided the MMPI to us both to take home, and said “mail it back to me in a few months; when you feel like it,” as if that would produce a controlled and accurate result.
I was ordered to provide examples for my ex-husband’s DV assessment. I asked Dr Singer what that would entail. He said “nothing; I have what I need”.
Dr Singer’s lack of ethics is nothing short of criminal. His victims grow up as unhealed hurt machines with his wallet is the benefactor.
He has hurt so many DV victims siding with abusers and advocated for them. I'm starting to wonder if he was once of them when he went through his divorce.
