Anthony, I needed to look up on your statement...”Following intense public outcry, Judge Basden—A FORMER STAKE PRESIDENT for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints—recused himself from a highly controversial family law case involving allegations of child sex abuse against a member of his former LDS Stake, Benjamin Mavy”

“However, official court records obtained by the Olympic Herald reveal that DESPITE HIS FORMAL RECUSAL, JUDGE BASDEN HAS MAINTAINED A GRIPE ON THE PROCEEDINGS”

Below is what I found:

Stake (Latter Day Saints)

Latter Day Saint church administrative unit

Overview

A stake is an administrative unit composed of multiple congregations in certain denominations of the Latter Day Saint movement. The name "stake" derives from the Book of Isaiah: "enlarge the place of thy tent; stretch forth the curtains of thine habitation; spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes" (Isaiah 54:2). A stake is sometimes referred to as a stake of Zion.

Stake President

A stake president is the lay leader of a stake, which is a geographic subdivision SIMINAR TO A CATHOLIC DIOCESE. A stake president is a man who is asked to serve as a volunteer in this position. He oversees Church programs in a defined geographic area composed of individual congregations called wards and is responsible to help the members of his stake in their efforts to follow Jesus Christ. HE ALSO OVERSEES THE ACTIVITIES OF THE BISHOPS OR WARD LEADERS, COUNSELING THEM AS NEEDED.

A stake president is assisted by two counselors and a group of 12 men called a high council. These leaders have a significant amount of local autonomy TO MAKE DECISIONS REGARDING THE MEMBERS IN THEIR STAKE. A stake president typically serves for about nine years.

What I feel you have uncovered is not merely an Ole Boy System but a Church of Latter Day SECRETS, who Basden is determined to keep under wraps.
