Port Orchard Narcotics Seizure Leads to One Arrest; Second Suspect Still at Large
A response to a reported death threat on Wednesday afternoon escalated into a major narcotics and weapons seizure, leaving one man behind bars and Kitsap County Sheriff’s deputies searching for a second suspect.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Bethel Burley Road SE at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, after receiving reports of a threat to kill.
According to the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation revealed that two masked men—at least one reportedly armed with a handgun—arrived at the property in a stolen vehicle and threatened a resident.
Upon arriving at the scene, deputies began questioning two individuals located near the home. During the interaction, one of the suspects fled on foot.
Authorities deployed a K-9 unit to search for the fleeing man, but the track was ultimately unsuccessful. The second individual was taken into custody.
A subsequent investigation of the scene led to the discovery of a significant cache of illicit drugs and a heavily modified firearm.
Deputies seized approximately 2.5 pounds of narcotics, which included:
376.4 grams of methamphetamine
305.7 grams of fentanyl powder
487.2 grams of fentanyl pills
In addition to the narcotics, law enforcement recovered a loaded semi-automatic pistol featuring an altered serial number.
The apprehended suspect, a 28-year-old male, was booked into the Kitsap County Jail. He is currently being held on suspicion of felony threats and unlawful drug possession.
Deputies are actively continuing their search for the second suspect, whom they have identified as a 48-year-old Port Orchard man known to local law enforcement.
Authorities have not yet released the names of either suspect as the investigation remains ongoing.

At large... that guy's probably in Sequim, now.
wow.Thats a lot of illegal drugs.I am assuming they had the drugs on their persons,in the stolen vehicle prior to arriving at the home where it seems one or both of them threatened to kill someone inside or on the grounds of the residence. It doesnt seem from the limited information available that they strong armed robbed the drugs from the residence.( because no 911 call would probably have been made had that been the case I think) There's been some very bad homicides, multiple homicides related / connected to gangs in Kitsap county in the last ten years that I recall seeing on or in the news. In one, related to Nbikgangs an entire familyincluding children were unalived.I cant remember if it was solved butI think it was. Nowadays though, a complete stranger can show up on your doorstep looking to burglarize or rob you.Never ever ever open your door for anybody you dont know .No matter what.If they have injuries, gunshot wound, ok.m maybe thats an exception but be discerning.Around ten years ago I was home alone in the mid afternoon just goofing off ,reading , when I noticed a man, pretty skinny , looked like a doper outside my sliding glass doors standing on my back porch just staring in to the back area of the house.I almost had a heart attack.. But I approached and told him to get the hell off my porch ,and stay the hell away from my back yard etc. whatever. as he walked up the driveway to the street in front of our house he called me a " clucking ditch" in a most animose and hostile way. I had never seen him before and luckily never again after. But it spooked me.This was in Burien ,not the Olympic Peninsula.
