Clallam County Superior Court Commissioner Brian Parker Accused of “Spitting” On Someone Near Clallam County Courthouse
The Olympic Herald recently exposed the troubling record of Clallam County Superior Court Commissioner Brian Parker, detailing his arrest for perjury and the stalking allegations leveled against him.
Earlier today we became aware, through the online community, of allegations that Brian Parker, “spit on,” a local resident in Port Angeles yesterday. She alleges a frightening encounter with Commissioner Parker just outside the courthouse. She states that while she was temporarily stopped near the sidewalk to help her 7-year-old daughter with a seatbelt, Parker approached her vehicle aggressively.
She says Parker began yelling that she was, “illegally parked,” and demanded she move. When she attempted to apologize and explain the situation, she alleges Parker, “spit right through my open window and turned and walked away.” She noted that Parker was “intense” and that the incident left her shocked and scared, particularly because her young daughter was present and witnessed the aggression.
Other online community members advised her to seek security footage from nearby businesses.
Rude and Condescending in the Courtroom
Beyond public conduct, residents who have appeared before Commissioner Parker are breaking their silence regarding his judicial demeanor. Another resident described a recent experience during a protective order hearing as demoralizing.
“I had a bad feeling before court even started,” she wrote, describing Parker as, “rude and condescending,” to women appearing before him. She alleges that Parker was impatient when her friend tried to collect her thoughts to answer questions, characterizing his behavior on the bench as that of a “monster.” “Shame on everyone involved... I’m disappointed in the person who hired him and ignored all the red flags,” she added.
Scrutiny Shifts to Judge Basden
The revelation that standard hiring protocols—specifically the one-year probationary period—were bypassed has directed public anger toward Judge Brent Basden, who appointed Commissioner Parker.
Commenters are calling for accountability, questioning why the appointment was “fast-tracked without verification.” Some residents feel that the blame lies squarely on Judge Basden’s shoulders for appointing Parker despite his background. “Judge Basden is next eventually someome (sic) will look into his rulings and what not, but judge basden (sic) is also one of the worst judges,” wrote one resident, suggesting that Basden has a history of ignoring evidence and directing commissioners on how to rule before hearings occur.
The sentiment among the online community is that the current controversy is symptomatic of a “fully corrupt” system where officials protect their own rather than serving the community. As one commenter summarized, “We cannot sit idly by and expect things to change. Clallam county deserves better.”
The Olympic Herald is further investigating the alleged spitting incident. In addition, since our initial report, numerous victims have come forward with additional allegations.
More to come shortly.

You should investigate the corruption that was covered up in 2024 where two court clerks who work under both of these judges Victoria Montez and Lisa MacDonald were using their county work email to mock and discuss sensitive court case matters including mocking of a sexual assault victim during her victim impact speech and they swept it under the rug.
Basden is willfully incompetent. I witnessed multiple hearings in a divorce case where he completely ignored solid evidence to rule in favor of his favorite attorney who was blatantly lying (proven in multiple emails), but Basden deliberately ignored her behavior and lies. He also violated civil rights of one, telling him how he was to speak with people outside of the courtroom. Basden is an embarrassment to Clallam County, but that whole court is a cesspool of corruption and backroom dealings.
Also, look into Basden’s appointment. He was 1 of 8 candidates. Gov Inslee only interviewed him and gave him the job during their brief 30 minute interview. On top of that, Basden has had the luxury of running unopposed ever since
