The Port Angeles School District released the final installment of records requested by The Olympic Herald last week, providing emails documenting school board member Nancy Hamilton’s exchanges with district leaders and fellow directors.

To make that correspondence easier to access, I built a tool for viewing and searching these records in a format that resembles a familiar email inbox.

Readers can switch between mailbox views for Superintendent Michelle Olsen, executive assistant Casey McDonald and each of the five school board members.

Open an Inbox or Sent folder, search for a topic, narrow the dates and read the messages. Available attachments can be opened from the emails, and individual messages can be shared by copying a link.

The tool brings together 388 email entries and 11 separately produced PDFs. It also includes Hamilton’s June 11 letter defending her requests for information, supplied with a separate email.

My goal is to let readers examine the correspondence themselves. You can read what Hamilton asked, how district officials responded and the surrounding exchanges in the released records.

The mailbox views are assembled from the records provided to us, rather than complete email accounts. Some attachments are unavailable.

Read and search the records here.
