Clallam County Court Ends Unconstitutional Social Media Viewpoint Censorship After Olympic Herald Sends Letter
The Olympic Herald has sent a formal letter to Clallam County Superior Court addressing a troubling pattern of censorship on the court’s official social media channels.
In correspondence delivered to the court, I outlined allegations that the administrator of the court’s official Facebook page is engaging in unconstitutional viewpoint discrimination.
I am embedding a copy of the letter below.
Update (Feb 12, 2026, 5:58 PM):
It appears the court has changed course and is no longer limiting speech on Facebook.

Wow Anthony, I think I need to re-read and digest this for a day, you've packed in a lot of Olympic Herald news. I want to read IF the CC Superior Court responds to your emails and IF they do, will it be in a timely manner or the typical "we respect and take your inquires seriously and we will certainly get back to you as soon as we investigate blah blah" If you are working on Clallam County time and language, what happens is by stalling, stalling, stalling and words of "it's complicated" they count on news dying on the vine and as a reporter they think you'll die on the vine waiting for non-informational responses.
I don't believe you will wait. You have brass balls ; )
This is very precise! Exactly what is needed more that ever! Bravo!
